Requirements
  • Strong (current) working knowledge in Linux.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in IT administration or a similar role.
  • Experience in network management, including wiring and configuration.
  • Proficiency in provisioning and managing Mac, Windows, and Linux laptops.
  • Strong understanding of asset management and user account management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python) for automation tasks.
  • Proficiency in network configuration and troubleshooting, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPN.
  • Understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices, including endpoint security and firewalls.
  • Familiarity with productivity software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
  • Prior experience as a helpdesk technician or similar support role.
Responsibilities
  • Setup and configure Mac, Windows, and Linux laptops for new and existing employees.
  • Track and manage IT assets, ensuring accurate inventory and lifecycle management.
  • Create, manage, and troubleshoot user accounts and permissions across various systems and applications.
  • Serve as the internal helpdesk, providing timely and effective support for hardware and software issues.
  • Manage internal network connectivity, ensuring a reliable and secure network infrastructure.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of IT processes, configurations, and procedures.
  • Work closely with other departments to understand their IT needs and provide appropriate solutions.
