  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of recent experience in the long-term care and rehabilitation industry is required.
  • Proven experience as a Director of Nursing in long-term care is required.
  • Demonstrated experience managing clinical operations across multiple skilled nursing facilities is required.
Responsibilities
  • Establish and maintain clinical competencies for all licensed nurses.
  • Provide ongoing education and development through monthly training calls with Directors of Nursing Services and Staff Development Coordinators.
  • Develop system-driven educational topics covering pressure ulcers, antipsychotic reduction, and regulatory updates.
  • Develop and implement core clinical systems and guidelines for seating and positioning, consistent assignments, and transitions of care.
  • Establish a system for measuring adherence to clinical systems.
  • Define standards and tools for monitoring adherence to dementia care protocols.
  • Support Social Services with event management, grievance response, guardianship, and advance directives.
  • Collaborate with Activities teams to implement service approaches and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide guidance on infection control protocols and respond to new regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in revising company clinical standards based on industry best practices and research.
  • Provide clinical leadership and support to multiple skilled nursing facilities.
  • Drive consistent application of best practices and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
