The Controls Technician’s primary responsibility is to implement and maintain the controls hardware, instrumentation, and electrical equipment as part of our Maintenance team. The ideal candidate will be a motivated self-starter with the ability to work independently and/or in a cross-functional work team environment. This role is a hybrid role where the ideal candidate will also function as a maintenance tech as needed. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, and automated manufacturing equipment. i.e., diagnoses trouble or defects determines corrective action, and repairs system).
• Go online PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) and use a ladder diagram to troubleshoot control-related issues.
• Fabricate and perform upgrades and repairs to electrical control panels.
• Field wire instrumentation and motor controls, including running conduit and pulling wire.
• Perform and document maintenance calibrations, installations, fault diagnosis, and repair of electronic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic instruments and systems.
• Reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
• Performs troubleshooting on all instrument systems and process control using P&ID and electrical schematics.
• Willing and able to perform maintenance technician duties as needed.

Desired Qualifications:

• Associates degree or technical certification in Industrial Technology, Industrial Electrical, or related technical program preferred. Relevant trade experience can be considered in lieu of a certificate/degree.
• Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience working in an automated manufacturing environment preferred.
• Skilled at troubleshooting electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems using Siemen &Allen Bradley PLC platforms.
• Skilled in SCADA systems such as Ignition and Factory Talk View.
• Availability of off-hours and weekend calls.
• Experience diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing pumps, motors, gearboxes, supply and exhaust fans, power transmission components, and hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret and follow electrical schematics and competency around voltages up to 480V.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in electromechanical systems.
• Must have a thorough knowledge of current industrial electrical standards, ability to read electrical schematics, working knowledge of PLCs, sensors, motor control drives, servomotor systems, and basic working knowledge of pneumatic controls.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

6:00 pm - 6:00 am Sunday-Tuesday (every other Wednesday) 

6:00 pm - 6:00 am Thursday-Saturday(every other Wednesday)
