Requirements
  • At least 15 years of experience in solutions engineering, sales engineering, or enterprise solutions, with demonstrated progression and increasing scope.
  • Proven experience leading teams, including managing and developing people and building high-performing solutions or sales-engineering organizations.
  • Deep enterprise sales experience owning the technical relationship on large, complex, multi-stakeholder deals and working alongside enterprise salespeople to close.
  • Extensive channel-selling experience working with and through channel partners.
  • Strong alliance experience selling with and through strategic alliances, including Salesforce or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of contact center and communications technology, including the CCaaS landscape, key platforms, and carrier infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the senior solutions resource on complex and strategic enterprise opportunities from discovery through technical validation, proof of concept, and close.
  • Serve as the primary technical and solutions voice in executive briefings, request for proposal responses, and competitive deal situations.
  • Build trusted-advisor relationships with enterprise customer decision-makers, including CIOs, CTOs, vice presidents of engineering, and vice presidents of contact center.
  • Support high-stakes opportunities across enterprise direct, alliances, and existing accounts.
  • Work alongside enterprise salespeople to provide technical depth and executive credibility that advances deals.
  • Support the indirect sales motion by enabling channel partners, working alongside them in deals, and helping them position the portfolio accurately and competitively.
  • Own the solutions dimension of strategic alliance relationships, including Salesforce and other key partners, by engaging alliance field teams in joint opportunities and co-selling motions.
  • Enable alliance and channel partners with technical knowledge, differentiation messaging, and deal support.
  • Build and deliver solutions content, including playbooks, reference architectures, and battle cards, for channel and alliance audiences.
  • Work directly with enterprise account executives and sales engineers to amplify their capabilities on complex opportunities.
  • Coach and enable the field on positioning the portfolio across customer types and deal contexts.
  • Identify positioning gaps among salespeople and sales engineers and address them through content, training, and direct deal involvement.
  • Connect the field with the rest of the organization to ensure salespeople and sales engineers have the resources needed to succeed.
  • Work collaboratively with the sales-engineering team by sharing expertise and co-engaging on complex deals.
  • Bring field-tested enterprise, channel, and alliance knowledge back to the sales-engineering team as practical market insight.
  • Collaborate with sales engineers on high-complexity or cross-segment opportunities.
  • Help identify sales-engineering capability gaps and contribute to closing them.
  • Serve as an internal resource for sales engineers handling deal situations outside their current experience.
  • Share engagement wins, losses, and patterns to strengthen the team’s collective ability to position and win.
  • Develop and maintain command of the complete product portfolio, including voice, messaging, 911, contact center, and communications platform as a service.
  • Maintain current product knowledge as the roadmap evolves.
  • Translate complex technical capabilities into value propositions for enterprise and alliance audiences.
  • Deliver demonstrations, technical workshops, and architecture sessions across segments.
  • Serve as a strategic bridge between the enterprise and alliance field and the product organization by bringing deal-validated feedback on gaps, competitive pressure, and customer needs.
  • Contribute field evidence to product roadmap discussions.
  • Partner with product marketing so external messaging reflects customer and partner needs.
  • Identify recurring engagement patterns and synthesize them into actionable intelligence for product and leadership.
  • Engage existing customers to uncover expansion opportunities, unmet needs, new use cases, and cross-sell potential.
  • Support account teams with technical depth and executive presence during strategic renewal and expansion conversations.
  • Apply solutions thinking across the full customer lifecycle.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Salesforce, Microsoft, or other major independent software vendor or platform alliances in a solutions capacity.
  • Familiarity with contact center architecture, including Agentforce, CCaaS platforms, WebRTC, and SIP trunking.
  • Experience at a communications platform as a service or contact center as a service vendor such as Twilio, Vonage, NICE, Genesys, 8x8, or similar.
  • Track record of building scalable solutions content, including playbooks, technical guides, and reference architectures, adopted by the broader field.

Bandwidth earns ISO/IEC 42001 certification for enterprise AI management. What does an AI certification have to do with the infrastructure behind enterprise voice systems? Increasingly, quite a lot. Bandwidth announced on August 20 that it has achieved ISO/IEC 42001 certification for its artificial intelligence management system, covering products, processes, and operations across its global organization. The certification gives Bandwidth a recognized framework for managing AI risks as enterprises put more AI-powered communications systems into production. What ISO/IEC 42001 certification means. ISO/IEC 42001 is an international standard for artificial intelligence management systems. Introduced in 2023, the standard establishes requirements for developing, maintaining, and continually improving how organizations manage AI. Rather than certifying the performance of a specific AI model, ISO/IEC 42001 focuses on organizational governance. That includes risk management, accountability, transparency, oversight, and processes for responsible AI development and use. Bandwidth says its certification extends beyond an individual application or department. Its scope covers the company's products, internal processes, and worldwide operations. That distinction matters for enterprises using AI across communications infrastructure, where models may interact with telephony systems, orchestration tools, customer data, and automated workflows. Bandwidth cited Gartner forecasts suggesting that 90% of enterprise software applications will include agentic AI by 2029. For engineering and data teams, that creates a governance problem that extends beyond model development. Organizations also need controls around the infrastructure transporting data and connecting AI systems with customers. Bandwidth CIO Kade Ross pointed to control, observability, and auditability as key requirements as companies scale voice AI. Building on existing security standards. The ISO/IEC 42001 certification complements Bandwidth's existing ISO/IEC 27001 certification for information security. Bandwidth also owns and operates its communications network rather than relying entirely on third-party infrastructure. The company says this allows its AI management framework to extend across its Communications Cloud, Maestro orchestration platform, network operations, and associated AI capabilities. For enterprises evaluating AI infrastructure vendors, certifications such as ISO/IEC 42001 could become another factor in procurement and risk assessments. They do not eliminate the need for technical evaluation, but they provide evidence that formal AI governance processes exist beyond individual models and applications. What's next? Bandwidth posts record Q2 revenue of $220M, ups 2026 guidance on AI communications demand

Bandwidth reported record second-quarter revenue of $220 million, up 22% year over year, with adjusted EBITDA rising 27% to $28 million. The communications platform provider returned to GAAP profitability with net income of $2 million, compared to a $5 million loss a year earlier. Strong demand for AI-enabled communications drove the results. Every new customer contract exceeding $1 million included Bandwidth's Maestro orchestration platform or AI services. The company won enterprise clients across healthcare, financial services, and cloud providers. Based on sustained customer demand, Bandwidth raised its full-year 2026 outlook. It now expects revenue of $900 million to $910 million and adjusted EBITDA of $123 million to $125 million. Free cash flow reached $24 million for the quarter.

Bandwidth's Q2 revenue beats estimates at $219.9M but stock plunges 26% on EPS miss

Bandwidth reported Q2 2026 revenue of $219.9 million, up 22.2% year-on-year and beating analyst estimates of $216.9 million. The cloud communications provider also issued strong guidance, with next quarter's revenue forecast of $233 million exceeding expectations by 4.1%. Despite the positive revenue results, the stock dropped 26%. The company posted a GAAP loss of $0.07 per share, significantly missing analyst estimates of $0.02 per share. Bandwidth raised its full-year revenue guidance to $905 million from $890 million. Free cash flow improved to $23.74 million from negative $582,000 in the previous quarter. The company provides cloud-based communications software and APIs to major tech companies including Microsoft, Google, and Zoom.

Bandwidth (BAND) Q2 earnings expected to show 20.5% revenue growth Wednesday

Bandwidth will announce second-quarter earnings on Wednesday morning. The cloud communications provider exceeded revenue expectations last quarter with $208.8 million, up 19.8% year-on-year. Analysts expect revenue to grow 20.5% year-on-year this quarter, improving from the 3.7% increase in the same quarter last year. Analysts have generally reconfirmed their estimates over the last 30 days. Amongst software development peers, only F5 has reported results so far, exceeding revenue estimates with 10.9% year-on-year growth. Bandwidth shares are down 6.1% over the past month, whilst the broader software development segment has risen 6.9%. The average analyst price target stands at $67.25, compared to the current share price of $57.18.
