WHO YOU ARE:
We are seeking a visionary and seasoned Associate Director of Corporate Events to join our leadership team at Zinnia. In this senior role, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning and execution of high-profile corporate events, including conferences, product launches, executive summits, and large-scale team building initiatives. You will be a key player in shaping our corporate culture, enhancing brand visibility, and delivering world-class event experiences. WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Lead the corporate events strategy to align with Zinnia’s brand, business goals, and employee engagement initiatives
- Collaborate with senior executives and cross-functional teams to conceptualize and plan impactful corporate events that support business objectives
- Oversee the planning and execution of major corporate events from concept through post-event analysis, ensuring flawless delivery
- Develop and manage event budgets, including forecasting, monitoring, and reconciling expenses, while driving cost efficiencies without compromising quality
- Negotiate contracts with high-profile vendors, venues, and suppliers to ensure premium event experiences
- Direct event logistics and operations, ensuring smooth execution, including venue selection, catering, AV, guest services, and risk management
- Work closely with marketing and communications teams to elevate brand presence through event promotion, digital content, and on-site experiences
- Lead a team of event planners and coordinators, providing mentorship and fostering a collaborative, high-performing team culture
- Provide executive-level reporting, including post-event analysis, metrics, and strategic insights to continuously improve event planning processes
WHAT YOU’LL NEED:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
- 10+ years of experience in corporate event planning, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership or director-level role
- A proven track record of delivering high-profile, large-scale corporate events, preferably within the tech industry
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a diverse group of professionals
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills, with a network of industry connections
- Strategic mindset with the ability to drive event outcomes that align with business goals and deliver measurable results
- Proficiency in event management platforms and tools, with strong data analysis skills to assess event ROI
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills
