Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Contribute to interdisciplinary curriculum planning and development.
  • Develop and implement assessments aligned to Girls Global Academy curriculum standards.
  • Use student data to drive instructional decisions.
  • Write cohesive lesson plans.
  • Plan and teach lessons using inquiry-based approaches to teaching and learning.
  • Use technologies and strategies to differentiate instruction based on readiness, learning differences, and interest.
  • Maintain up-to-date attendance, curriculum, and assessment records.
  • Foster positive relationships with students.
  • Develop regular communication protocols with parents.
  • Deliver thoughtful guidance and support with advisory groups.
  • Engage professionally with new school initiatives.
  • Lead extracurricular activities during and/or after school.
  • Create classroom experiences that embody the school's pillars of learning.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree with a concentration in a content area.
  • Three years of secondary classroom experience in an urban context.
