Requirements
  • Board certified or active candidate in obstetrics and gynecology, eligible for Kansas medical license.
  • A formal degree in obstetrics and gynecology; the level of degree will be determined by accreditation requirements, institutional standards of academic and professional excellence, alignment with peer institution benchmarks, and contributes to the credibility and effectiveness of the role within the university community.
Responsibilities
  • Join the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology as a faculty member.
  • Be part of a team of more than thirty faculty, including residents and fellows, to provide evidence-based quality care.
  • Provide care on labor and delivery, including supervision of residents and students and consultation to certified nurse midwives.
  • Oversee ambulatory practice including outpatient private clinics, supervision of resident clinics, and coverage of community-based clinics.
  • Provide both ambulatory care and inpatient care, including night and weekend labor and delivery and gynecology coverage.
  • Attend and present at student, resident, and fellowship teaching conferences.
  • Guide and assist house staff and students in preparing talks for meetings, writing publications, and presenting results from research projects.
  • Conduct clinical research in the division and support other scholarly activities of the School.
