Job Objectives: The General Community Manager position is responsible for all aspects of resident experience, maintenance operations, and fiscal and staff management.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Oversees the overall resident experience, which includes resident life cycle and customer satisfaction and reputation management

- Ensures maintenance operations run smoothly and develop solutions when needed

- Plans, directs, and manages financial resources to ensure that expenses are within budget and cost effective

- Manages personnel throughout their employment lifecycle that includes career planning and development, accountability and performance management, and recognition

QUALIFICATIONS:

- High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred

- Ability to supervise staff of five or more associates

- Proven ability to manage P&L

- Exceptional customer service experience

- Proven organizational and time management skills

- Valid driver license and automobile insurance

- Ability to read and write English; speak English and understand spoken English

- Ability to utilize a personal smart device for apps related to property operations and communication

- Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and property management software preferred

The salary range for this position is $101,000.00 - $151,000.00 per year. New hires generally start between $101,000.00 - $127,000.00 per year. The final salary offer will be determined after reviewing relevant factors, including but not limited to skill sets; relevant experience; internal equity; and other business and organizational needs.This role is also eligible to participate in Essex’s discretionary Annual Bonus program that is commensurate with the level of the position.
