We are seeking a skilled Lighting Installation Technician with expertise in lighting integration for commercial environments. This role involves the installation, programming, and integration of lighting systems to deliver customized, energy-efficient, and visually impactful lighting solutions. The ideal candidate will have experience working with a variety of lighting control systems, electrical components, and smart technologies for commercial buildings.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and integrate lighting systems, including LED, fluorescent, and specialty lighting for commercial spaces (offices, retail stores, hotels, etc.).
- Collaborate with project managers, designers, and engineers to ensure proper system setup and alignment with client specifications.
- Perform electrical wiring, power distribution, and connectivity tasks to ensure seamless installation and operation of lighting systems.
- Configure and program lighting control systems, such as DMX, DALI, and smart lighting platforms.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to lighting installations and integrations.
- Provide on-site assessments, ensuring safety standards and compliance with local building codes and regulations.
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure installations meet performance, aesthetic, and safety requirements.
- Offer maintenance and troubleshooting services for existing lighting systems.
- Train clients on the operation and programming of their lighting systems.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices for lighting integration.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Lighting Installation Technician, with at least 3 years in the commercial sector.
- Expertise in integrating and programming lighting control systems (e.g., DMX, DALI, Zigbee, etc.).
- Solid understanding of electrical systems and wiring, as well as general knowledge of power distribution.
- Familiarity with CAD software and lighting design software is a plus.
- Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and system layouts.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
