Requirements
  • Must possess, as a minimum, a 10th-grade education.
  • Must be a licensed Certified Nursing Assistant in accordance with California state law.
  • Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
  • Must be able to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Must be able to present information and respond to questions from managers and employees.
  • Must be able to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Must be able to solve practical problems and deal with concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
  • Must be able to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, and schedule-based instructions.
  • Must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds and assist with resident evacuation during emergencies.
  • Must maintain resident confidentiality and protected health information.
  • Must follow policies for blood and body fluid exposure, infectious materials, hazardous chemicals, accidents, incidents, and resident abuse reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Provide assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with each resident's assessment and care plan.
  • Identify residents before administering treatments or serving meals.
  • Record resident information, treatments, observations, incidents, and changes in condition accurately and promptly.
  • Perform only nursing-care procedures and equipment use for which training has been completed.
  • Prepare residents' rooms and belongings for admission, transfers, and discharge.
  • Greet, escort, and orient residents to their rooms and the facility.
  • Create and maintain a warm, calm, and supportive environment for residents.
  • Participate in nursing reports and identify or help correct service problems.
  • Make beds and provide comfort measures, including extra covers and clean water pitchers.
  • Measure and record temperatures, pulses, respirations, weights, and other resident data as instructed.
  • Check residents routinely, answer calls promptly, and provide personal care.
  • Record food and fluid intake and report changes in eating habits.
  • Assist with dental and mouth care, bathing, grooming, dressing, undressing, and changing wet or soiled clothing and linens.
  • Prepare residents for medical tests, physical examinations, therapy, dental appointments, and other procedures.
  • Lift, turn, move, position, and transport residents using beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, and lifts.
  • Perform restorative, rehabilitative, and special treatments as instructed.
  • Observe and report pressure areas, skin breakdowns, injuries, disorientation, and other changes in residents' conditions.
  • Report missing residents, defective equipment, complaints, grievances, suspected abuse, unauthorized disclosures, and resident refusal of treatment.
  • Cooperate with nursing, interdepartmental, and facility personnel to maintain resident services.
  • Follow assigned tasks, work schedules, facility policies, and supervisor instructions.

PACS Group has appointed Carey P. Hendrickson as chief financial officer, effective 27 April 2026. Hendrickson brings nearly four decades of financial leadership across healthcare, senior living and media sectors. PACS Group has announced that co-founder and chief financial officer Mark Hancock will retire on 30 June 2026. He will continue serving on the company's board of directors as vice chairman. Hancock co-founded PACS in 2013 with Jason Murray, starting with two post-acute care facilities in San Diego.
