About the job

Requirements
  • Proven hotel, hospitality, travel, or lifestyle sales experience with strong proactive business development capability.
  • Commercial curiosity and comfort selling across multiple segments rather than working within a single corporate portfolio.
  • Strong network-building and relationship-management skills with the confidence to represent a lifestyle hotel in market.
  • Understanding of MICE, entertainment, leisure, wholesale, luxury, and agency distribution is highly regarded.
  • Strong negotiation, presentation, and account-planning skills.

  • Highly organised, self-directed, and accountable for measurable market activity and production.
  • Confidence working with sales, revenue, reservations, marketing, food and beverage, and operations teams.
Responsibilities
  • Lead proactive sales activity across the hotel, creating demand for rooms, groups, meetings, events, and food and beverage.
  • Own agreed market segments either in full or through an established account list.
  • Proactively develop business across designated segments, including corporate negotiated, MICE, entertainment, wholesale, leisure, luxury consortia, and strategic agency relationships.
  • Develop and maintain strategic account plans covering production, opportunity, key contacts, activity, next steps, and total account value.
  • Prospect and acquire new accounts, including competitor accounts, high-value SMEs, dormant accounts, and new market opportunities.
  • Lead key RFP/RFI, preferred partner, and consortia opportunities in conjunction with the Commercial Director and Revenue team.
  • Build relationships with travel managers, tour managers, promoters, producers, PCOs, TMCs, wholesalers, luxury advisors, and other decision makers relevant to the hotel.
  • Generate proactive MICE, group, and entertainment opportunities that combine accommodation, event space, and food and beverage where relevant.
  • Plan and execute client appointments, sales calls, famils, site inspections, agency visits, trade events, networking, and client entertaining.
  • Work closely with Revenue teams to ensure account pricing, offers, and need-period activity are commercially appropriate and support total hotel performance.
  • Sell the whole hotel and maximise total customer value across rooms, food and beverage, meetings, events, and ancillary spend.
  • Maintain accurate account, activity, and opportunity records within the hotel’s sales systems and ensure relevant account information is current.
  • Provide a weekly sales activity report covering client engagement, prospecting, sales calls, account plan progress, new opportunities, account production, key follow-up actions, and upcoming activity.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Opera, Delphi, or comparable hotel sales systems is advantageous.
