Requirements
  • Experience in setting up transformational Data projects either in infrastructure functions or IT of a global organizational.
  • Track record of developing, implementing and measuring progress across Data Governance metrics.
  • Solid understanding of Data Governance requirements, regulatory frameworks, Master Data & Meta Data management and privacy standards.
  • Ability to engage and build strong partnerships with stakeholders in multiple functions across all levels of the group (e.g. Risk & Controls, Finance, Audit, Compliance, Operations and IT). Additional experience in Advertising Agencies is a plus.
  • A passion for Data / Data Architecture and its associated emerging trends and technologies.
  • Ability to analyze a problem on the fly, with limited information and determine a valid course of action.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to deliver information clearly, completely and concisely under pressure.
  • Ability to self-learn and be self-motivated, working well both independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on continuous process improvement.
  • Capacity to make order out of chaos in an unstructured environment.
  • Degree educated in a Business & Technology subject.
Responsibilities
  • Support the deployment of a Global Data Governance strategy, building business cases and implementing frameworks to support better business decisions.
  • Advance the Data transformation agenda, creating efficiencies and overcoming business challenges.
  • Oversee complex Data problems and propose simplified solutions for comprehension, buy-in and sponsorship at board level.
  • Create an operational roadmap and design/execute successful and auditable Governance plans.
  • Support Business Continuity Plans in line with the Group wide Recovery & Resilience strategy.
  • Articulate and document requirements to enhance the WPP EDG way of working.
  • Accelerate change and monitor progress of Data Governance initiatives whilst working closely with IT and Transformation teams to reduce costs, minimize risks and eliminate inefficiencies.
