Requirements
  • 8-12 years of experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Define a smart manufacturing transformation roadmap by identifying and prioritizing high-value use cases aligned with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Own and maintain a manufacturing artificial intelligence initiative portfolio, overseeing solutions from ideation through deployment, scaling, monitoring, and continuous optimization.
  • Lead the delivery of artificial intelligence and automation pilot projects and proofs of concept, partnering with data scientists, engineers, digital teams, and business stakeholders to design, validate, and scale solutions.
  • Provide expertise in deploying artificial intelligence, machine learning, generative artificial intelligence, and automation solutions to deliver measurable business outcomes and operational improvements.
  • Partner with data, analytics, and business teams to improve the data quality, accessibility, and governance required for scalable smart manufacturing solutions.
  • Follow corporate artificial intelligence governance frameworks, guardrails, and responsible artificial intelligence practices to ensure compliant, secure, and scalable adoption.
  • Drive stakeholder engagement, change management, and value realization activities as a trusted advisor on smart manufacturing opportunities, risks, and emerging capabilities.
  • Develop and continuously improve smart manufacturing playbooks, standards, best practices, and operating models that accelerate solution delivery and adoption.
  • Track and communicate business value realized through smart manufacturing initiatives, aligning with manufacturing priorities and executive stakeholder expectations.
  • Monitor emerging artificial intelligence technologies, industry trends, and best practices to identify opportunities that strengthen supply chain capabilities and competitive advantage.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture and technology teams to evaluate artificial intelligence platforms, tools, and vendor capabilities supporting the supply chain artificial intelligence strategy.
  • Foster cross-functional collaboration by building trusted relationships, aligning stakeholders, and driving effective communication to achieve shared business outcomes.
  • Establish and embed consistent ways of working, governance, and delivery practices that promote accountability, continuous improvement, and successful execution of artificial intelligence initiatives.
  • Apply advanced knowledge and understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to manage a wide variety of projects.
  • Participate in developing policies and procedures to achieve specific goals.
  • Recommend new practices, processes, metrics, or models.
  • Work on or lead complex projects of large scope with potentially significant and long-term impact.
  • Provide solutions that may set precedent.
  • Independently determine methods for completing new projects.

Cardinal Health forecast fiscal 2027 profit between $12.40 and $12.60 per share, exceeding analyst expectations of $12.04, driven by strong demand for specialty drugs. The US drug distributor's shares rose over 4% in premarket trading. The company's fourth-quarter adjusted profit of $2.91 per share beat estimates of $2.42. However, total revenue of $63.67 billion missed expectations of $65.03 billion. Cardinal Health is benefiting from rising demand for biosimilars and high-margin medicines treating cancer, rheumatoid arthritis, and autoimmune diseases. Its Pharmaceutical and Specialty Solutions unit saw sales increase 6% to $55.4 billion. Last month, Cardinal purchased AdaptHealth's diabetes business and Strive Medical for approximately $360 million combined. The company also announced $1 billion in planned share repurchases for fiscal 2027.

Cardinal Health has agreed to acquire multi-specialty supply company Strive Medical and AdaptHealth's diabetes business for a combined $360 million in cash. The drug distributor said the acquisitions will expand its at-home solutions business, which delivers medical supplies directly to patients. The deals build on Cardinal's recent investments in home care services. The company's at-home unit generated $1.7 billion in revenue during its third quarter this year, helping grow profit by 34% year over year. Cardinal expects the acquisitions to be earnings accretive within a year of closing. AdaptHealth's diabetes unit serves over 225,000 patients annually, primarily delivering continuous glucose monitors. Strive serves more than 20,000 customers yearly, specialising in urology, wound care and incontinence supplies.
