Requirements
  • Experience working with children and young people, preferably in a youth work setting.
  • Good organisational skills.
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and learning activities for young people.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with young people.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to travel across North East Fife; a driving licence is advantageous but not required.
  • Flexibility to occasionally support youth work sessions and events in other locations.
  • Availability during school holiday periods may be required to provide cover for groups, activities and events.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with young people, colleagues and partners.
  • Protection of Vulnerable Groups scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland is required before appointment.
Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver a range of youth work activities for young people aged 8 to 16.
  • Evaluate youth work activities to ensure they meet the needs of children and young people.
  • Work evenings during term time.
  • Support Youth Workers and volunteers.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working with children and young people in a youth work setting is preferred.
  • A driving licence is advantageous.
