Requirements
  • Experience in higher education administration, academic policy, or military education programs.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and briefing skills.
  • Experience preparing executive correspondence and senior leader presentations.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects and work effectively with senior leaders.
  • Active Secret (Tier 3) security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with the Dean of Academics to develop master's-degree-level academic administrative and educational policy.
  • Assist the Dean of Academics with day-to-day activities, including representing the Dean at Marine Corps University-level meetings.
  • Coordinate with Marine Corps University staff; draft information papers, decision papers, PowerPoint briefs, and other correspondence; and prepare responses to taskers and requests for information from the J7, Headquarters Marine Corps, Training and Education Command, Marine Corps University, and other staffs.
  • Assist the Dean of Academics in preparing Joint Professional Military Education Phase I certification requirements, including PAJE or OBME self-studies, related reports, and J7 requests for information.
  • Track and provide educational expertise in answering higher-headquarters taskers in close coordination with CDET's four Associate Deans and the Dean of Academics.
  • Assist in maintaining the academic site within CDET's Moodle learning management system.
  • Participate in weekly academic meetings and provide advice applicable to the services.
  • Assist the Dean of Academics in overseeing Institutional Research Support Services.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience supporting Marine Corps University, Professional Military Education, or Department of Defense education programs.
  • Knowledge of Joint Professional Military Education accreditation processes, including PAJE and OBME.
  • Experience with Moodle or other learning management systems.
