  • Juris doctorate degree with at least 4-6 years of relevant law firm or in-house experience
  • Licensed as a practicing attorney in good standing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Medium to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office products and other software
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving and contract drafting skills
Responsibilities
  • Draft, negotiate and analyze development and construction agreements (e.g., contractors, architects, engineers, professional consultants, surveyors)
  • Identify changes in law, legal risks and relevant trends, ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations related to construction and real estate development and provide advice on best practices to mitigate risk
  • Manage and resolve legal disputes related to construction and real estate development
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies, to ensure successful project outcomes
