About You and The Role
We are a fast growing team with abundant opportunities to develop and improve processes in accounting and reporting. As an Accounting Analyst, you will be a key contributor to the monthly close and partner with the operations and finance teams. You will prepare standard and ad hoc reports that will be critical for strategic decisions in various areas of the business. You will own the master data elements of costing and product categories for inventory. You will also maintain records and reporting for our growing fleet of drones as we expand in the US market.
What You’ll Do
- Review newly released inventory items and update the cost and product categories.
- Review and analyze bills of material and labor cost. Follow up with operations on significant changes or missing elements.
- Update accounting records for drone assets, ensuring correct cost and in-service or retirement date.
- Prepare and review quarterly cycle count reports and audit as needed.
- Create and enter monthly journal entries for various accounts.
- Perform account reconciliation and analysis for various balance sheet accounts.
- Partner with internal teams on process improvements to ensure the proper flow of accounting transactions.
- Prepare and gather information and reports requested by auditors.
- Assist with special projects as needed.
- Some travel to outside sites to assist with projects and inventories may be required.
- Foster good working relationships with external and internal customers.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- Certified Public Accountant (plus)
- 3+ years of accounting experience (public accounting – plus)
- Working experience in Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- MS Office proficient, with advanced Excel skills
- Data analytics skills (plus)
- Experience with NetSuite, Coupa, Odoo, Mode (plus)
- Ability to trace transactions through systems and evaluate the accounting entries.
- Ability to critically analyze process issues and problem solve with practical solutions.
- Detail oriented with strong organization, communication (both written and verbal), interpersonal and listening skills. Demonstrated ability to embrace and adapt to change.
- Able to manage multiple priorities in a multi-tasking, fast paced environment.
- Ability to work effectively in teams; demonstrated ability to assimilate information quickly and a deep desire to learn and succeed.
What Else You Need to Know
The starting cash range for this role is $110,000 - $140,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
