Ideal for students who have begun gaining relevant experience and are building their skills through internships, part-time jobs, or significant projects. Typically aimed at sophomores or juniors who have completed a combination of introductory and advanced coursework.
Job Summary
Provides support to Media Productions teams. Aids in the creation of video content (producing, capturing, editing) for the University and departments.
Primary Responsibilities
Assists producers, writers, directors, and project managers with the details of producing a media spot or event.
Obtains technical understanding of lighting, storytelling, editing, and camera usage.
Initiative and project-based job position.
Communicates with management and team leads via project management software.
Communicates with University and department clients.
Prepare for and clean up after productions.
Assist with lights, equipment, sound, special effects, and similar technical activities.
Basic office support as needed.
Setting scenery as directed.
Performs other duties as assigned.

High School
Work Experience
3 Months of Directly Relevant Experience. Understanding of cameras and video editing software is preferred.
Physical Demands
Typical office environment and occasional meeting or special event facility. Some requirements for strenuous physical exertion: Occasional long periods of standing or on set, must be able to lift 50 lbs. as some equipment is heavy, occasional early-morning call times.
