Saudi Arabia's first homegrown fintech unicorn, Tamara, has received a restricted finance licence from the Central Bank of the United Arab Emirates (CBUAE), the company announced on Monday. With the restricted finance licence, Tamara can now expand its operations in the UAE while contributing to the country's Vision 2031 economic diversification goals. "This milestone fundamentally strengthens our entire operation in the UAE and serves as the catalyst for our ambitious future here," said Yamen Fakhreddine, CEO of Tamara UAE.
