  • A high school diploma or GED is required.
  • Experience with medical terminology and prior experience working in a medical office are required.
  • The employee must perform the listed physical and sensory functions, including lifting, transporting patients, and maintaining the specified standing, walking, bending, reaching, hearing, and vision capabilities.
Responsibilities
  • Participate in data collection, planning, and implementation of patient care.
  • Perform clinical procedures within the scope of practice.
  • Follow treatment plans as directed by the Clinical Coordinator, CRNP, and physicians.
  • Extract data from medical records and record it as directed.
  • Transcribe orders, resheet charts, and schedule tests and procedures.
  • Ensure patient comfort and satisfaction with services.
  • Provide safe, appropriate, quality patient care.
  • Communicate new orders, changes in patients’ conditions, and unit concerns with the unit-based team.
  • Restock pharmacy and unit supplies as needed.
  • Register patients and bill for services.
  • Demonstrate competency in growth and development knowledge and communication appropriate to the age of the patient treated.
  • Take an active role in quality assurance and quality improvement.
  • Maintain professional development through participation in in-services and continuing education programs.
  • Assist in training new staff and provide coverage at other Community Health sites as needed.
Desired Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program is strongly preferred.
