Requirements
  • Master’s or Doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience as a Programmer or Data Analyst within the health economics and outcomes research, pharmacoeconomics, or pharmaceutical industry, or a related field.
  • Must have experience in health care.
  • Proficiency in statistical programming languages SAS and R is required.
  • Strong understanding of statistical methodologies and their applications in health economics and outcomes research.
  • Excellent analytical skills and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Strong communication skills and entrepreneurial spirit with ability to solve problems creatively.
  • Experience with electronic medical record databases and claims databases is required.
Responsibilities
  • Conduct statistical analyses to derive insights from complex healthcare databases, ensuring accuracy and relevance to client objectives.
  • Write statistical code and collaborate with other biostatisticians across projects for code and results auditing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement HEOR studies for large pharmaceutical companies.
  • Develop and validate statistical analysis plans to assess treatment effectiveness, cost-effectiveness, and patient outcomes.
  • Communicate findings through comprehensive reports and presentations, translating complex statistical concepts into actionable recommendations for clients.
  • Reference electronic medical record databases and work with data vendors.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with Python and Stata is a plus.
