Requirements
  • Proven experience in housekeeping, with some experience in team management or supervision, ideally in a high-end hotel or luxury chalet setting.
  • Excellent attention to detail and high standards regarding cleanliness and quality.
  • Excellent organisational, planning and prioritisation skills.
  • Natural leadership with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure, particularly during busy periods.
  • Good knowledge of cleaning, hygiene and safety protocols.
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and supervise external housekeeping teams by planning work schedules and allocating tasks.
  • Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with company quality, cleanliness and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain a close working relationship with managers of partner cleaning companies.
  • Inspect chalets and communal areas regularly and ensure high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation.
  • Respond to guest feedback and resolve housekeeping-related issues.
  • Monitor stock levels of cleaning products, linen, and consumables and arrange restocking when necessary.
  • Keep housekeeping storage areas organised, clean, and properly stocked.
  • Forecast requirements, order, and distribute linen for booked properties, including arrivals, mid-stay changes, and additional guest requests.
  • Prepare, package, and distribute welcome amenities for each guest stay.
  • Help manage the housekeeping budget by monitoring expenditure and overseeing financial control with support and approval from the Housekeeping Manager.
  • Check, verify, and process invoices from independent cleaning contractors and linen suppliers.
  • Ensure housekeeping and linen costs are correctly allocated and recorded in internal accounting systems.
  • Ensure accurate invoicing of linen services for guest stays and re-invoicing of linen and housekeeping costs for owners’ stays.
  • Coordinate with maintenance, logistics, and customer service departments to support daily operations.
  • Coordinate with the Housekeeping Manager on daily operational requirements and guest expectations.
  • Handle guest requests relating to housekeeping or cleanliness professionally and efficiently.
  • Work Saturdays and Sundays on a rotating basis, particularly during high season.
  • Take overtime hours as time off in lieu when applicable.
