For the second year in a row, Texas-based Mission Critical Group (MCG) hired multiple Le Moyne students for summer internships. Working in human resource and finance, the three students - Madyson Simmons, Diego Martinez and Katie Kees - were involved in a number of initiatives during the summer and presented to senior leadership about projects they were charged with during their internship experience. Madyson Simmons '27, a human resources major, worked on how to improve MCG's talent interviewing process, determining that the secret to successful people at MCG is alignment with the company's culture as much as the role they are being hired for. She gave recommendations on ways to improve the interviewing process to help ensure a cultural match. Madyson was offered for a full-time role at MCG and will join the company in December. Katie Kees '27, also a human resources major, worked on ways to launch benefits to a recent acquisition transitioning to the MCG. After studying MCG's insurance, health care options, retirement savings programs and other benefits, she gave presentations to 300 newly acquired employees during their open enrollment, a task typically done by HR specialists with at least five years of experience. The company is working with Katie to find a full-time role in an area of the country that would work best for her. Diego Martinez de los Reyes '27, a finance major, worked on building a competitive comparison analytical model, taking a public company comparison group and developing a framework that can be updated each quarter to compare MCG and the public companies financial and operational dimensions. His work involved building a model that not only compared numbers but also factored in where strategy and intention drive the differences. He is undecided on next steps but is leaning toward going to graduate school. "In sitting in the presentations and watching the reactions of our team who have no connection to Le Moyne, these great young adults made me and should make everyone at the College proud," said Chris Curtis '79, MCG executive chairman who recently served as chair of Le Moyne's Board of Trustees. "All three of these students nailed their presentations with poise, confidence and were very well spoken." Curtis noted that the students gave great feedback on how the internship program at MCG could be improved. Le Moyne has been allocated four of the expected 40 interns the company plans on hiring next summer. "Chris and his team created a best-in-class internship experience and the chance for them to earn their first full-time job out of college" said Meredith Tornabene, Le Moyne's director of career advising and development. "These internships truly can change the trajectory of a student's life and Chris made that possible. Each of these students have excelled in the classroom and it's wonderful to hear that their critical thinking, communication and problem-solving skills were on full display at MCG as well." 300 Jobs coming to Mission Critical Group Harleysville as Texas manufacturer bets big on Northeast. The latest entry: a fast-growing Texas power company bringing 300 jobs to Harleysville as demand for data center infrastructure explodes across the Northeast. Mission Critical Group is leasing a 266,000-square-foot industrial building at 1600 Delp Drive, where it will manufacture electrical equipment for data centers, utilities and other large-scale power users. The facility was developed on speculation by Massachusetts-based High Street Logistics Properties and completed in 2025. 300 Jobs, and Hiring has already begun. The company began limited operations at the Harleysville site in May. Full production ramps up in September. Between now and then, MCG needs to fill 300 positions spanning manufacturing, production, operations, electrical work, welding, engineering, and supply chain. Qualified candidates won't have to wait long for a chance to get in the door. MCG is hosting a career fair on Wednesday, June 17, from 4 to 7 PM at the new facility. Attendees can meet leadership and recruiting staff, learn about open roles, and tour portions of the building. A regional network taking shape. The Harleysville opening isn't just a single facility. It's the latest piece of a growing Montgomery County manufacturing network. The new site sits roughly 7.5 miles from MCG's existing North Wales operation, and the two facilities are designed to work together, coordinating on switchgear production and metal fabrication to keep pace with surging customer demand. CEO Jeff Drees said the Harleysville lease reflects the company's broader push to build manufacturing capacity across the Northeast as orders continue to climb. What they make and who they serve. Mission Critical Group acquires Anchor Automation to expand connected services. Mission Critical Group has acquired Anchor Automation, adding industrial automation and controls integration expertise to strengthen its connected services and field support for data centres and other mission-critical facilities. Mission Critical Group ("MCG"), a provider of electrical infrastructure solutions for mission critical facilities, including data centres, manufacturing plants, and energy infrastructure, has announced its acquisition of Anchor Automation, a provider of industrial automation, controls integration, and connected services. Headquartered in Florence, South Carolina, with field teams serving customers nationwide, Anchor Automation expands MCG's connected services capabilities and complements its existing field services organisation. According to the companies, MCG and Anchor Automation will provide customers with a single partner for engineering, manufacturing, commissioning, field services, automation, remote monitoring, and lifecycle support for electrical infrastructure.
