Requirements
  • A Master's degree or higher in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or Data Science.
  • At least two years of relevant experience.
  • Experience building agentic or multi-agent artificial intelligence systems.
  • A strong software engineering background in distributed systems, application programming interfaces, real-time transports, and authentication and authorization.
  • Experience building and deploying large language model or agent-based systems in production, including secure, isolated machine-learning infrastructure.
  • Experience working in secure environments handling sensitive or confidential data, with a strong focus on cybersecurity.
  • Ability to follow institutional security, privacy, and compliance controls, including the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act and National Institute of Standards and Technology 800-53, and apply secure engineering practices.
  • Knowledge of multi-agent orchestration and agent communication protocols, including Model Context Protocol and Agent-to-Agent communication.
  • Knowledge of OAuth 2.0 Token Exchange and scoped or delegated authorization patterns.
  • Experience in regulated or high-stakes domains such as healthcare, defense, or manufacturing.
Responsibilities
  • Architect and build end-to-end agentic artificial intelligence systems spanning model training, distributed inference, authentication and authorization, and user-facing applications for production-grade, ultra-secure environments.
  • Design multi-agent orchestration with a central orchestrator coordinating distributed specialist agents over a bidirectional, low-latency, stateful transport such as WebSockets.
  • Implement a delegated-authority and scoped-authorization model, such as OAuth 2.0 Token Exchange, so every agent action carries an explicit, narrowly scoped, auditable actor claim.
  • Develop standardized agent communication and tool-use protocols, including Model Context Protocol and Agent-to-Agent communication, and extend them with structured user-interface primitives.
  • Build a platform-agnostic, server-driven interface and response-translation layer that adapts structured outputs to desktop, smartwatch, voice or ambient, and robotics devices.
  • Ensure security, compliance, and auditability for artificial intelligence operating in regulated, high-stakes domains.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentor junior engineers and students, and contribute to peer-reviewed research and open-source releases.
  • Apply cybersecurity best practices and institutional security and compliance controls across systems that handle sensitive data.
Desired Qualifications
  • At least two years of direct, hands-on experience building agentic or multi-agent artificial intelligence systems.
  • A record of peer-reviewed publications and a history of mentoring.
