- Basic knowledge of accounting practices.
- Ability to use and understand desktop applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
- Knowledge of office procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Field internal and external customer inquiries to the Service Department.
- Open work orders as directed by the Service Manager or Shop Foreman and maintain control until they are closed and invoiced.
- Maintain the service library with current information, including files, bulletins, manuals, and multimedia, under the direct supervision of the Service Manager.
- Maintain Service Department filing and records.
- Update customer profiles using equipment, hours, or other information from customer work orders.
- Maintain accessories and supplies and prepare replacement orders.
- Prepare Service Technician efficiency reports when required.
- Process warranty and product improvement claims, including computation of charges, submission, and follow-up, when required.
- General understanding of mechanical and technical terms.
