Requirements
  • Degree in engineering or related technical field and 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T
  • Project Management: Leadership, Scheduling, Organization, Risk Management, & Communication
  • Manufacturing Process Experience: Fluids Testing, Machining, Additive
  • Ability to effectively investigate and resolve hardware non-conformances and drive implementation of corrective actions
  • Ability to work with and train technicians in a hands-on hardware environment, writing work instructions, and process plans
  • Ability to provide design feedback that improves product manufacturability
  • Knowledge of general assembly and test procedures, including tolerance stack-up analysis, structural proof testing, and pressurized leak checks
  • Experience with Siemens NX or other CAD and analysis tools
  • Experience with Tooling design, including conceptualization, modeling and drafting, and detailed analysis
  • Strong communication skills and ability to write work instructions
  • Knowledge of turbopump assembly procedures, including rotor balancing, interference fits, clearance checks, structural proofing, and leak checks
Responsibilities
  • Develop the assemblies for the fuel and oxidizer turbopumps of the Aeon-R and Aeon-R Vac engines
  • Collaborate closely with the propulsion development and manufacturing teams to incorporate improvements into future designs
  • Drive their own projects to completion
  • Work through challenging issues unique to rocket turbopumps
  • Work at the interfaces of design, development, and analysis of turbomachinery
