About the Role
As a BetMGM Bet Acceptance Trader, you will play a crucial role in managing the acceptance and execution of sports bets on our platform. Your responsibilities will include monitoring market conditions, analyzing customer betting trends, and making real-time bet acceptance decisions to optimize our sportsbook's performance.
Responsibilities
Monitor sports betting markets and make quick, informed decisions to accept, adjust, or reject bets based on risk management principles and market analysis.
Implement effective risk management strategies to ensure the sportsbook operates within acceptable risk parameters. This includes adjusting betting limits, analyzing exposure, and managing liabilities.
Stay abreast of sports events, odds movements, and betting patterns to anticipate market trends and identify opportunities for optimization.
Work closely with other traders, analysts, and relevant departments to share insights, enhance strategies, and contribute to the overall success of the sportsbook.
Utilize trading tools and technologies to enhance efficiency, automate routine tasks, and optimize the acceptance process.
Generate and analyze reports on key performance indicators, trading performance, and betting activity to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement.
Essential Functions
Must be able to stand or sit and operate computers and other technological devices for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Previous experience in sports trading, risk management, or a related field within the sports betting industry a plus.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of sports and betting markets, particularly in relation to BetMGM offerings.
Familiarity with trading platforms, odds compilation, and risk management tools.
The annual salary range for this position is $65000 to $75000.Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.This position is also eligible for participation in a performance-based bonus plan.
Gaming Compliance & Licensing Requirements
As an online gaming company, BetMGM is required to comply with state gaming regulations which includes licensing obligations.Applicable employees must be licensed by at least one jurisdictional agency, although certain positions require licensing by multiple agencies.Failure to become licensed or maintain licensure with each agency as required for the role may result in termination of employment.Please note that the licensing process includes comprehensive background checks which may include a review of criminal records, financial history, and personal background verification.
In addition, candidates must comply with and support the company's responsible gambling policies, procedures and initiatives.

Applicable salary ranges may differ across markets. Actual pay will be determined based on experience and other job-related factors permitted by law. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus.
