Requirements
  • Associate of the Casualty Actuarial Society (ACAS) designation with 5–7 years of industry experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • Experience with pricing, valuation, and/or capital modeling.
  • Strong skills in the Microsoft Office suite.
  • Visualization skills using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Coding experience with programming languages or tools such as Python, Alteryx, R, VBA, or SQL, and comfort working with modern analytics platforms such as Databricks.
  • Comfort working in interactive teams with brokers and clients.
  • Ability to lead day-to-day parts of a project and make decisions to keep projects moving forward.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
  • Consult with brokers on client needs and advise on reinsurance programs based on risk tolerance and industry trends to help clients mitigate risk.
  • Communicate strategically with brokers, reinsurers, and clients to anticipate needs and drive usage of reinsurance actuarial services.
  • Implement complex models and calculations to assess risk and develop pricing and strategies for a range of risk exposures.
  • Evaluate how reinsurance structures and expected results affect clients’ overall financial standing, including earnings volatility and capital position, and ensure program design meets client needs.
  • Use artificial-intelligence-enabled approaches to streamline and augment repeatable work, including analysis setup, sensitivity testing, quality-assurance checks, documentation, and executive summaries, while maintaining actuarial standards and controls.
  • Help create broking-aligned strategies that support revenue generation, including identifying opportunities and positioning analytics-led solutions that strengthen client relationships.
