The Role:
We are now building a world-class Sales Team to go along with our awesome product. We are looking for hunters with an entrepreneurial mindset, who are excited about a 0-1 build. We’re seeking an ambitious Account Executive to join our sales team, who is committed to their development, excited to be on the ground floor, to build strong pipelines and close big deals! In this full-cycle sales role, you will be responsible for closing new business from a steady stream of inbound leads as well as proactively prospecting and building your own pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute targeted outbound prospecting strategies to identify and engage new real estate investor prospects, including small to medium-sized investment firms
- Qualify and nurture inbound leads generated by Ownwell’s marketing team, including responding to inquiries, conducting discovery calls, and presenting solutions
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract signature, including delivering compelling product demonstrations, handling objections, and negotiating favorable terms
- Clearly and persuasively communicate Ownwell’s value proposition, highlighting how our property tax management platform and services can save real estate investors time and money
- Collaborate cross-functionally with the marketing, customer success, and operations teams to ensure a seamless customer experience from lead to retention
- Accurately forecast sales activity and pipeline, and consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas and targets
- Stay up-to-date on market trends, competitor offerings, and new product/service developments to identify sales opportunities and continuously improve sales strategies
- Meet or exceed revenue goals in alignment with the company’s operating model
Requirements:
- 1+ years of experience in a quota carrying Sales role or similar roles within real estate, proptech, or financial technology/services.
- Track record of exceeding quotas in a high-velocity sales model; outlook and ambition to grow into a top-performing enterprise seller
- Entrepreneurial mindset and drive to succeed in a fast-paced, high-growth startup environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to effectively engage with C-suite and senior-level decision makers
- You own your pipeline coverage target through a combination of phone, email & social channels
- Grittiness- excited to build from 0-1 and exceed expectations, hunter mentality
- Proficient at understanding business pains and desired outcomes for SMB and Mid-Market Clients
- Strong understanding of the real estate investment landscape, including the challenges and pain points faced by SMB and mid-market investors preferred
- Familiarity and proficiency with CRM tools and sales engagement platforms.
- Self-motivated with a results-driven approach.
- A passion for real estate and a desire to help property owners.
- Be open to 10-20% travel (Conferences, trade shows, and visits to Austin HQ)
- Dallas/Austin-based highly preferred but will consider other locations for game-changers
