Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license with a good driving history is required.
  • The ability to perform very hard physical work, exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, up to 50 pounds frequently, and up to 20 pounds constantly, is required.
  • The ability to frequently stand, lift, grasp, push, pull, reach, and walk, and to grasp, stoop, stand, and hold, is required.
  • The employee may need unsupervised access to restricted areas containing medications, supplies, and confidential patient information.
  • The employee must travel between facilities and buildings.
  • Knowledge of shipping and handling requirements is required.
  • Excellent all-weather driving skills are required.
  • The ability to locate destinations by address using GPS is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide timely pickup and delivery of lab supplies and lab packages.
  • Ensure lab orders are complete and organized before delivery.
  • Collaborate with staff to obtain the correct supplies and paperwork.
  • Follow the delivery schedule and report to the hospital after deliveries are complete.
  • Clean the vehicle daily.
  • Maintain a vehicle maintenance log.
  • Monitor periodic vehicle maintenance and inspections.
  • Pick orders, unload trucks, and put supplies away in the stockroom.
