Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing operations, preferably within electronics or electronics manufacturing services environments.
  • At least 3 years of people management experience in a production setting.
  • Proven ability to drive results in a fast-paced, high-volume or high-mix manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing execution, quality control, and operational key performance indicators.
  • Ability to work effectively across multiple functions.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to support flexible working hours, including shift changes, weekends, and overtime, as needed to respond to urgent production requirements and escalations.
Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day manufacturing operations to meet output goals, production schedules, and on-time delivery commitments.
  • Manage manpower, equipment, and capacity planning to optimize throughput and efficiency.
  • Monitor production performance and drive improvements across productivity, yield, downtime, work in process control, and cost efficiency.
  • Ensure smooth shift handoffs and execution discipline through clear communication and accountability.
  • Ensure product quality meets internal standards and customer expectations and support audit readiness and compliance activities.
  • Drive issue containment, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive actions in collaboration with Quality and Engineering teams.
  • Maintain adherence to standard operating procedures, electrostatic discharge controls, process discipline, and traceability requirements.
  • Ensure manufacturing operations comply with applicable safety regulations and company environmental, health, and safety policies to prevent workplace incidents.
  • Manage manufacturing budgets and drive cost optimization through process improvements, material waste reduction, and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Analyze cost structure and implement cost-saving actions to reduce overall manufacturing cost.
  • Lead and develop supervisors, line leaders, and operators through coaching, training plans, and performance management.
  • Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement on the production floor.
  • Support hiring, onboarding, cross-training, and workforce planning to improve team capability and flexibility.
  • Drive Lean manufacturing initiatives, including 5S, Kaizen, standard work, and line balancing, to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Identify bottlenecks and implement improvements to enhance labor efficiency and reduce cycle time.
  • Lead efforts to reduce scrap, rework, and operational costs.
  • Partner with Engineering, Quality, Planning, Supply Chain, Facilities, and Information Technology teams to ensure stable execution and rapid issue resolution.
  • Support new product introduction, ramp-up activities, and production readiness reviews when required.
  • Prepare daily and weekly performance reports and communicate risks, action plans, and progress to leadership.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of consumer electronics manufacturing processes, including Surface Mount Technology, assembly, and testing operations.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning and manufacturing execution systems and manufacturing data analysis tools.
  • Possession of an Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10-Hour General Industry training certificate.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint, for data analysis, key performance indicator reporting, and executive-level presentations.
  • Multilingual communication skills preferred, including English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese, with the ability to lead and collaborate in cross-cultural environments.
  • Strong team motivation, coaching, and conflict resolution skills, with the ability to perform effectively under high-pressure situations.
  • Ability to rapidly identify and resolve production issues to protect output and delivery performance and minimize operational disruption.

(MOFA photo) Taiwan News, Staff Writer TAIPEI (Taiwan News) - Deputy Foreign Minister Francois Wu (吳志中) hosted a welcome reception Thursday for European officials participating in the European Values Important Partnership program. Wu said Taiwan and Europe share deep historical ties and values such as democracy and freedom, per the foreign ministry. Taiwan's semiconductor industry is also closely linked to long-standing cooperation with Europe, he said. Wu identified the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Belgium as key partners in Taiwan's industrial development. Technology and semiconductor exchanges between Taiwan and Europe have deepened in recent years, Wu said. Taiwanese companies such as TSMC and Foxconn have continued expanding their presence in Europe, while Taiwan and the UK have strengthened talent exchanges through semiconductor training programs. Wu said Taiwan and Europe should work more closely to protect their shared values and build a more resilient and secure partnership. Delegation leader Stefan Gara said Taiwan and Europe could deepen trusted, people-centered technology cooperation. Taiwan's expertise and industrial ecosystems in semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and drones could be combined with Europe's research strengths to promote practical applications and create greater value for both sides, he said. The foreign ministry said this year's program focuses on the semiconductor supply chain. Taipei [Taiwan] Taiwan-based manufacturing giant Hon Hai Precision Industry Co, globally known as Foxconn, reported a 51.98 per cent year-on-year rise in consolidated sales to NT$921.77 billion ($29.14 billion) in August, amid strong global demand for artificial intelligence applications, according to a news report by Focus Taiwan. According to the report, the August sales were the second-highest monthly sales in Hon Hai's history, trailing only the NT$946.51 billion ($29.85 billion) recorded in July. Foxconn, a major iPhone assembler and AI server maker, said its cloud and networking division recorded significant year-on-year revenue growth in August as AI momentum accelerated. Its smart consumer electronics division also reported significant sales growth, supported by clients rebuilding inventories ahead of the launch of new products and higher shipment prices, the report said. Foxconn Singapore Pte Ltd, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hon Hai Precision Industry, has priced corporate bonds totalling JPY 101.9 billion under its Medium-Term Note programme. The parent company is providing a guarantee for the issuance. The bond offering comprises JPY 65.7 billion in three-year bonds with a fixed interest rate of 2.92% and JPY 36.2 billion in five-year bonds at a fixed interest rate of 3.28%. The pricing occurred on 4 September 2026. The subsidiary operates under Foxconn Singapore's structure, with Hon Hai maintaining full ownership through a 100% shareholding ratio.
