The Project Engineer - Federal Programs will provide Project Engineering support for multiple projects and ensure JMA is known for a high degree of quality in our projects. The Engineer will help JMA meet customer commitment dates and supports project managers in appropriate planning, scheduling and tracking of resources and deliverables
The Sr. Project Engineer will deliver RAN specific and general engineering support throughout the program/project lifecycle including support for pipeline opportunities as necessary. Leverage your wireless experience to deliver solutions and projects to customers. Work with project teams to accurately define the problem set, and then create solutions for implementation based on JMA’s product offerings.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Document customer design requirements to include bands, KPI’s and use cases
- Conduct RF and construction surveys of customer facilities
- Submit detailed iBwave design requests and review final products
- Create detailed project specific designs and scopes of work
- Create ROMs and BOMs to meet customer requirements
- Create detailed drawings for head end layout and remote connections
- Perform estimated macro coverage plots with Google Network Planner or ATOL
- Conduct analysis and prepare RF link budgets
- Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience working on Federal Installations, including US Military Bases, DoD Technology Development, Engineering, and Deployment process
- Familiarity with NIST-800 cybersecurity controls, Risk Management Framework, and Authority to Operate assessments helpful
- Solid understanding of 5G technology and 3GPP standards
- Familiarity with RF Spectrum authorization and certifications, including NTIA and FCC
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience of 7 years of project engineering experience within wireless or federal programs.
- Minimum of 3 years of project engineering experience within Federal Programs or wireless industry.
- Excellent communication skills .
- Due to federal contract requirements, only U.S. Citizens will be considered.
