Nicki Minaj judging Trump's 'patriot Pitch' Competition. Nicki Minaj has been tapped to be one of the celebrity judges for a small business competition sponsored by the Trump administration. Published on September 2, 2026 It looks like Nicki Minaj will be taking part in another event by the Trump administration - this time, as a judge for a reality show-styled competition of small businesses aiming to win their share of $1 million. Nicki Minaj shared news about the announcement with her followers on X, formerly Twitter, on Monday (Aug. 31), shortly after the announcement by Small Business Administration head Kelly Loeffler framing it as "bringing the boardroom energy to Washington, D.C. and rolling out the red carpet for small biz." "This is a major, MAJOR KEY," the Pink Friday 2 artist wrote with a key emoji, adding, Sooooooooooo looking forward to this!!! Imagine being a part of the Trump Administration's initiative to support small businesses. Let's GO!!!" The rapper was named as one of the five celebrity judges that will give their views on the final five businesses in the "Patriot Pitch Competition." Joining her will be Airbnb's co-founder and U.S. Chief Design Officer Joe Gebbia and private equity fund manager Grant Cardone. Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman actor Dean Cain will be the host of the televised final, set for Sept. 18. The competition is part of the Trump administration's Freedom 250 celebration, a slate of events marking the sesquicentennial, or 250th anniversary of the United States. The five companies - Compotech, Inc., Plas-Tech Tooling, Red River, VetPowered LLC, and Winton Machine - are going against each other for prizes. They are $400,000 for first place, $250,000 for second, $150,000 for third, $125,000 for fourth, and $75,000 for fifth. The finale of the competition will take place in Washington, D.C., on Sept. 18. There hasn't been any further word as to what venue it will be held at. According to the SBA's website, the event will also feature "prominent speakers from business, government, and industry, a supplier matchmaking expo connecting small businesses with larger companies and contracting opportunities, and networking opportunities with investors, industry leaders, and policymakers." For Nicki Minaj, it's another collaboration with the Trump administration since her last appearance at the White House for a brunch touting the launch of savings accounts for children in July.
