Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certification is preferred.
  • 1-2 years of cost accounting experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace or satellite manufacturing. 3+ year preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage cost accounting systems and processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Proficiency in procurement and financial software systems and Google Sheets/MS Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting and managing internal relationships.
Responsibilities
  • 3-5 years of traditional accounting
  • Manage and maintain the cost accounting across systems.
  • Review and analyze inventory and margin reports
  • Ensure timely submission, accuracy, and validity of inventory and gross margin schedules to management.
  • Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods, or services provided to determine effects on costs.
  • Assist in new product costings and establish standard costing for product bill of materials.
  • Prepare periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
  • Analyze costs and operational data to report on performance against budget and operational efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed account analysis and/or reconciliations for inventory and project costs.
  • Support internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules and tax schedules.
