  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; able to interact effectively with staff, patients, visitors, and external partners using professional and empathetic language.
  • Demonstrates excellent customer service skills with a focus on safety, cultural sensitivity, and de-escalation techniques.
  • Able to multitask and remain calm under pressure while managing competing priorities in high-stress or emergency situations.

Responsibilities
  • Proactively patrolling and monitoring facility grounds to deter, detect, and respond to security or safety threats.
  • Duties include access control, emergency response coordination, and the documentation of suspicious activities, safety hazards, and policy violations.
  • Utilizes de-escalation techniques and trauma-informed practices to reduce harm and support a therapeutic care environment.
  • Acts as an ambassador of security and safety, providing courteous, visible, and helpful presence across all areas of the facility supporting a Culture of Excellence.
  • Provides direct support during incidents, including assisting with the management of disruptive or violent individuals.
  • Works collaboratively with internal departments and external law enforcement to ensure a timely and appropriate resolution to security concerns.
  • Performs other security related duties as assigned to support the safety and operational needs of the medical center.
