Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent and at least 1 year of experience in a similar operational setting
  • Fluent in English
  • Familiar with Food and Beverage terminology, application, operation, wine service, costs, menu development, food and hygiene codes and controlling inventory
  • Technical skills include MS Office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook and familiarity with hotel systems including MICROS/point of sale platforms
  • Knowledge of hotel policies on discounts or promotions
  • Right to work in the United Kingdom; Sponsorship is not available
Responsibilities
  • Greet guests on arrival and conduct welcome and check-in procedures in an efficient and friendly manner
  • Answer outlet telephone courteously and efficiently and manage reservations accordingly
  • Escort guests to the table and assist in seating and present the menu
  • Take orders from any food and beverage outlet menus
  • Inspect condition and cleanliness of menus and wine list, ensure designated amounts are available, and update menus or wine lists as changes occur
  • Work with an empathetic attitude and if there is any problem which cannot be handled, contact Management
  • Have a good knowledge of all outlet menus (food and wine) and F&B day to day activities
  • Have good knowledge of all F&B outlets opening hours
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance, grooming and hygiene
  • Knowledge and strict adherence to LQA standards
