We are looking for entry level who can answer “yes” to the above for our 2024 State Street Global Delivery Middle Office (GDMO) Rotation programme. If you are successful, you will join a team which plays a pivotal role in the success of the State Street and its clients.
What you will be doing
The key thing to know is that your role will be broad and diverse, giving you the chance to experience first-hand several distinct roles within the GDMO business area.
The rotation programme is all about giving you the fundamental experience and skill set to excel in the world of fund services and investment management. Your first 2 years with State Street will see you rotate through 3 different business functions, developing your professional network and expanding on your quantitative and qualitative skills.
You will gain professional accreditation through completion of IMC and IOC qualifications and by the time you reach the end of the programme, we hope that you will have built a clearer picture of where your interests and experience can take you within both State Street and the industry more generally.
As part of the GDMO capabilities supporting State Street’s business, you could be developing expertise within:
Portfolio Services: Front Office Support, Data Control, Middle Office Support, Client Management Support
Trade Management: Processing & Settlement
Account Services: Fund Transitions
Fund Accounting

Within these business areas, we’ll look to you to provide support in several areas, which could include: administration, processing, research & analysis and helping with client queries.
Some of the day-to-day activities could include:
Supporting global post trade flow, confirmation, settlement for securities, FX and cash products.
Being aware of market and industry developments.
IBOR & platform accuracy.
Middle office oversight (reconciliation, corporate actions, change events).
Account Services, fund launches, closures, market opening.
Net Asset Value reporting.
Benchmark and reasonability checking.
Client & third party communications.
We are looking for a diverse population for the new cohort and preference will be given to those that meet the State Street profile. We are open to graduates, career changers and returners
Desired skills and experience will include:
2.1 Degree in any subject (must have for recent graduates).
1-2 Years’ experience in any finance related field
Analytical mind-set, with attention to detail and ability to work to tight timelines.
Great communication skills
Flexible and a team-player
High levels of energy, dynamism and commitment
Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively.
