Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, or a related technical field is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in a QA/QC leadership role in a manufacturing environment is required.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 9001 and related standards, with experience leading or maintaining certification, is required.
  • Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, customer specifications, and quality documentation is required.
  • Familiarity with enterprise resource planning and quality management software systems is required.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and cross-functional collaboration skills are required.
  • Knowledge of inspection tools, quality control methods, and calibration requirements is required.
  • The ability to pass physical, drug, driving, and background checks is required.

Responsibilities
  • Lead all aspects of the Quality function at the assigned location, including performance, compliance, continuous improvement, and strategic integration of the Quality Management System.
  • Oversee overall product and process quality, including QA/QC, for the Brookfield and Youngstown plants.
  • Supervise quality department QA/QC personnel and manage, train, develop, and motivate them to achieve quality goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership for employee relations through communication, coaching, training, and development to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the plant.
  • Develop, implement, manage, and maintain the plant Quality Management System in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant industry standards.
  • Train the organization on documented policies and procedures and ensure that training is effective.
  • Conduct internal audits and management reviews.
  • Ensure corrective and preventive action processes are in place and effective so the Quality Management System continuously improves.
  • Ensure the Quality Management System is aligned with actual practice and that employees understand and comply with their responsibilities.
  • Collect data, conduct data analysis and root cause analysis, and prepare reporting to foster continuous improvement.
  • Monitor and report KPIs and quality metrics, including cost of poor quality, defect rates, and audit findings, and present data to leadership.
  • Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve internal, supplier, and field nonconformances.
  • Define and specify standards, methods, and procedures for inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision, accuracy, and reliability of company products.
  • Engage with customers on satisfaction, compliance issues, and quality-related meetings or audits.
  • Represent the company in QA/QC program evaluations, questionnaires, and client assessments.
  • Support Supply Chain with supplier audits, supplier approvals, evaluations, supplier nonconformances, and resolutions.
  • Support cost estimating for quality-related elements in bids and project planning.
Desired Qualifications
  • A master's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred.
  • Experience leading QA/QC in electrical manufacturing industries is preferred.
  • Quality Management System Auditor or Lead Auditor certification is preferred.
  • Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is preferred.
