Requirements
  • Current enrollment in a Juris Doctor program at Tulane University Law School or Loyola University New Orleans College of Law.
  • Familiarity with Louisiana law and legal research resources.
  • Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical judgment and attention to detail.
  • Ability to review legal and business documents and identify key issues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle sensitive information professionally.
Responsibilities
  • Review, organize, and summarize contracts, agreements, leases, corporate documents, and other legal materials.
  • Conduct legal research, with particular emphasis on Louisiana law, regulations, and applicable legal authorities.
  • Support legal and compliance research related to government contracting, corporate governance, and business operations.
  • Identify key contractual terms, obligations, risks, deadlines, and issues for attorney review.
  • Prepare legal and business summaries, memos, research notes, and recommendations for internal decision-making.
  • Support contract administration, document management, and internal process improvements.
  • Assist with research related to regulations, risk, insurance, vendor agreements, corporate policies, and compliance requirements.
  • Provide limited support on financial or business analysis when legal matters intersect with company operations.
Desired Qualifications
  • Interest in corporate law, contracts, government contracting, construction, compliance, risk, or business operations.
  • Prior exposure to contracts, legal research, compliance, government contracting, corporate governance, or business operations.
  • Prior military experience or familiarity with veteran-owned business programs.
