Requirements
  • B.Tech or M.Tech in Chemical Engineering (mandatory).
  • Strong hands-on experience in process modeling, simulation, and optimization.
  • Experience with Operator Training Simulators (OTS) for process industries.
  • Working knowledge of real-time transient modeling for oil & gas pipeline systems is highly desirable.
  • Understanding of pipeline hydraulics, flow assurance, control logic, and operational scenarios.
  • Familiarity with simulation tools used in the oil & gas pipeline domain (OLGA, SPS, Synergi, TGNET, PipeSIM, etc. – or similar).
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
  • Experience leading engineering teams or technical project teams is preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Lead the design, configuration, tuning, and deployment of real time pipeline simulation models (RTTM/Leak Detection/Batch Tracking).
  • Develop, validate, and optimize transient hydraulic models for crude, refined products, gas, and multiphase pipelines.
  • Perform detailed process modelling, simulation, and system optimization based on customer requirements.
  • Guide development and integration teams on functional and technical requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain functional specification development (FSD), system configuration, test procedures, and documentation.
  • Lead, mentor, and guide a team of process and simulation engineers.
  • Architect end-to-end solutions for real-time pipeline simulation use cases.
  • Own technical decisions, modeling choices, and solution architectures for complex pipeline networks.
  • Drive innovation in modeling, optimization, and training simulator features.
  • Develop and validate process models for oil & gas pipeline systems (liquid, gas, or multiphase).
  • Perform steady-state and transient simulations for operational and control scenarios.
  • Work with real-time systems, SCADA integration, and digital twin workflows.
  • Contribute to the enhancement of real-time transient pipeline simulation software.
  • Interact directly with customers to understand requirements, operational challenges, and business goals.
  • Conduct requirement analysis and define solution specifications.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations based on industry standards and best practices.
  • Support technical pre-sales activities and deliver product demonstrations.
  • Prepare technical solution proposals, architecture documents, and effort estimates.
  • Collaborate with sales and product management teams to position the Pipeline Manager effectively.
  • Ensure high-quality technical deliverables and adherence to timelines.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams including software development, QA, and product management.
  • Review models, scenarios, documentation, and customer presentations prepared

Emerson Electric secures $2B credit facility with JPMorgan Chase, replacing $3B expiring agreement

Emerson Electric has entered into a $2 billion unsecured 364-day credit facility led by JPMorgan Chase, with Bank of America, Citibank and Goldman Sachs participating. The facility supports general corporate purposes, including serving as a liquidity backstop for the company's commercial paper programme, and runs through 9 February 2027. The new agreement replaces Emerson's prior $3 billion 364-day facility dated 11 February 2025, which expired by its terms on 10 February 2026 with no exit fees. There are currently no borrowings outstanding under the new facility, which maintains the company's liquidity and financial flexibility.

Emerson Electric Q1 EPS up 6% to $1.46, orders surge 9% on power and semiconductor demand

Emerson Electric reported first-quarter fiscal 2026 results with underlying orders up 9% year-over-year, marking the fourth consecutive quarter of strong order growth. Underlying sales increased 2%, whilst adjusted earnings per share rose 6% to $1.46. CEO Lal Karsanbhai said growth was driven by demand in power, LNG, semiconductors, life sciences, and aerospace and defence. The company's backlog reached $7.9 billion, up 9% year-over-year, with a book-to-bill ratio of 1.13. Software and Systems orders jumped 23%, whilst Test and Measurement orders climbed 20%. Free cash flow reached $602 million with a 14% margin. Management said a software contract renewal timing issue reduced first-quarter sales growth by approximately one percentage point. The company expects full-year free cash flow growth of about 10%.
