Requirements
  • 3+ years of software engineering experience using modern object-oriented programming languages such as Java, C#, or C++
  • Experience with Javascript, TypeScript, React, and CSS
  • Experience with relational data stores such as PostgreSQL
  • Knowledge of full-stack software engineering principles
  • Attention to detail and quality of implementation
  • Experience working on a software product team
  • Experience with Selenium or other test automation tools
  • In-depth Java development experience (e.g. knowledge of how the GC works, multi-threading, etc.)
  • Experience building and operating scalable, fault-tolerant, maintainable distributed systems
  • Experience with streaming/messaging systems such as Kafka or SQS
  • Experience developing GraphQL APIs
  • Experience with Terraform or other infrastructure-as-code tooling
  • Experience with cloud-based deployments and architecture (especially AWS)

Responsibilities
  • Become a founding member of a team tasked with making a new, innovative product, and help foster a creative, collaborative team culture
  • Write code (of course!)
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers and cross functional product teams to build end-to-end solutions for our customers
  • Own (with your team) the entire software development lifecyclefrom technical strategy definition to delivery, to end of life
  • Help translate the product strategy (which is informed by customer and market insights, competitive analysis, our technical capabilities, and internal programs/assets) into actionable developer assignments
  • Communicate insights and technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders to enable faster strategy iteration
  • Work in an agile environment with a DevOps approachteams build and maintain their own software, including taking turns with being on-call
