  • A Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (minimum GPA of 3.0)
  • Must be fluent in NFPA 70 and NEC
  • Experience working with AutoCAD and SolidWorks
  • Have or be able to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
  • At least eight years of experience with an electrical engineering degree or at least ten years of relevant experience and a degree in another engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate/communicate effectively with internal/external stakeholders
  • Excellent verbal/written communication, problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills
Responsibilities
  • Plan, implement, or monitor preventative maintenance programs (e.g., inspections, testing, and maintenance) that comply with federal and local requirements and industry codes, standards, and guidelines
  • Provide engineering support toward documenting and/or troubleshooting operational issues with electrical systems and/or electrical equipment
  • Identify and work to proactively resolve any compliance issues
  • Identify and document potential capital improvement projects necessary to improve operations by conducting site visits to document existing conditions, developing new requirements based on planned use, and creating preliminary scopes or budgetary cost estimates
  • Perform electrical design reviews for facility improvement projects provided by third-party or in-house design efforts
  • Assess compliance of design packages with applicable Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), electrical codes, and regulations, as well as end-user requirements
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with other stakeholders, internal and external
  • Serve as a project manager on some assigned projects
Desired Qualifications
  • A Professional Engineer (PE) License is preferred but not required
  • Experience with energetics-related safety systems (e.g., bonding & grounding, lightning protection systems) is preferred but not required
