Infleqtion (formerly ColdQuanta) develops quantum-enabled hardware and software designed for edge use. It builds portable quantum devices such as quantum sensors and ion-based systems, plus modular components and plug-and-play solutions that maintain data integrity from edge to computer. Its software platform, Superstaq, lets users write quantum programs in any language and run them on any quantum computer, enabling performance gains on standard benchmarks. The company differentiates itself by focusing on hardware-as-a-service at the edge, offering a broad range of ready-to-use devices and a versatile software stack, rather than just large quantum computers. It collaborates with the Department of Energy to speed commercialization and broaden adoption. The overall goal is to accelerate the deployment of quantum technology across research labs and businesses by providing accessible hardware and cross-backend software that integrates smoothly with existing systems.

Infleqtion projects $40M revenue for 2026 as quantum tech demand grows

Infleqtion, a quantum computing and sensing company, has announced 2026 revenue guidance of $40 million, reflecting growing customer demand for its neutral-atom quantum technologies. The company reported 2025 revenue of $32.5 million and a non-GAAP operating loss of $28.1 million. Recent business highlights include launching a quantum-enabled precision timing solution with Safran Electronics & Defense in April 2026, and delivering the UK's only operational 100-physical qubit quantum computing system to the National Quantum Computing Centre in March. The company secured additional funding through ARPA-E's QC3 programme and NASA's Quantum Gravity Gradiometer Pathfinder mission, bringing contracted funding to over $20 million. Chief executive Matthew Kinsella cited strengthened business operations and expanding customer relationships across defence, telecommunications and critical infrastructure sectors.

Infleqtion launches quantum timing solution with Safran partnership.

Infleqtion launches quantum timing solution with Safran partnership. Credit: Infleqtion Infleqtion has announced availability of its first quantum-enabled precision timing solution delivered as part of the company's partnership with Safran Electronics & Defense. The new solution includes Infleqtion's Tiqker quantum optical clock, which has been integrated and validated with Safran's White Rabbit and SecureSync systems. Modern systems, from financial markets to military operations, telecom networks and datacenters, depend on technologies such as GPS or GNSS for precise timing, but these are vulnerable to jamming, spoofing, and natural disruption. As threats to traditional timing infrastructure grow, the need for resilient, independent alternatives has become critical. In a recent live demonstration conducted in partnership with Quantum Corridor, the solution integrating Tiqker, White Rabbit and SecureSync system was validated in a real-world environment, demonstrating picosecond accuracy vs. nanosecond GPS accuracy. The combined, validated solution delivers enhanced stability and resilience, ensuring continuity of operations for mission-critical systems even in environments where traditional timing signals are challenged or denied. The collaboration between Infleqtion and Safran Electronics & Defense makes the validated solution available to customers globally, across allied defense, telecommunications, and critical infrastructure sectors, enabling rapid deployment of precision timing architectures designed to operate even in GNSS-challenged environments.

Infleqtion delivers UK's only operational 100-qubit quantum computer to national centre

Infleqtion has delivered the UK's only operational 100-physical-qubit quantum computing system at the National Quantum Computing Centre, achieving a milestone critical to the UK's quantum strategy. The Sqale platform, delivered in December 2025, uses neutral-atom technology. The deployment is part of the NQCC's Quantum Computing Testbed Initiative, enabling researchers to evaluate performance, benchmark applications and study how neutral-atom systems scale. Infleqtion is targeting over 30 logical qubits in 2026 and more than 100 logical qubits in 2028. Infleqtion's neutral-atom approach has already been deployed in operational environments beyond laboratories, including quantum flight trials and underwater autonomous vehicles. The company's two-qubit gate fidelity of 99.73% delivers industry-leading performance, requiring fewer physical qubits per logical qubit for improved scalability.
