Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Media or other relevant area of study
  • 3-5+ years of professional experience in social media management or social content creation
  • Must possess excellent grammar, writing, editing, and proofreading skills
  • Ability to research, conceptualize, and create great content that will perform well across various social media channels
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the latest social media trends
  • Experience with social media scheduling platforms like Sprout Social or HootSuite
  • Experience running or managing paid digital & search campaigns
  • Basic proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, strong organization and time management skills
  • Must have exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
  • Work effectively across functions with minimal direction (self-discipline, self-starter)

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for Lansing's social media platforms, including content publication, scheduling, social amplification, and online community engagement
  • Create relevant social content for our customers in the B2B building products industry
  • Determine the optimal post schedule and cadence to support campaigns, brand awareness, and social engagement goals
  • Engage with customers, industry partners, and influencers on social media platforms to grow Lansing's online community and promote our brand and culture
  • Research products that Lansing sells and work with vendor partners to create unique, owned content
  • Support the development and delivery of all other social media efforts by Lansing, including posts related to company events, associate profiles, associate experience areas including Recruiting, Career Growth, Training, and Recognition, and other content supporting the company's culture and brand
  • Work closely with HR/Communications and Marketing & Sales team to organize content distribution to ensure the best possible experience with the Lansing brand
  • Execute strategies to amplify messaging for specific content. Occasionally, build and manage paid social media campaigns with the support of Marketing Managers and the Graphic Design team
  • Assist with managing our customer reviews and response process while demonstrating Lansing's mission of respect, service, and excellence
  • Partner with the Marketing Insights team and follow social media news and trends to help keep our social content strategy relevant and effective
