Requirements
  • Experience working with children or pre-teens in a recreational, camp, or educational setting.
  • Reliability, enthusiasm, and confidence managing small groups.
  • Understanding of the balance between structure and freedom that pre-teens need.
  • Comfort enforcing program rules while maintaining an engaging environment.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children and adults.
  • CPR/First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain it upon hire.
  • Availability for weekday shifts from 3:00–6:00 PM and/or weekend shifts from 12:00–4:00 PM.
Responsibilities
  • Welcome and check in Club48 participants at the Igloo hub.
  • Supervise and facilitate activities in the Game Room, Rooftop, Basketball Court, and Yoga Studio.
  • Encourage positive peer interactions, teamwork, and creativity.
  • Enforce technology-use policies and guide children through technology-free play after 4:00 PM.
  • Lead games, group activities, and spontaneous activities to keep pre-teens engaged.
  • Support behavior expectations and maintain a safe, respectful environment.
  • Collaborate with fellow counselors and management to plan special events.
  • Distribute and track Club48 tickets earned through participation.
  • Promote healthy choices, including guiding children through food ordering from 1320 Market.
Desired Qualifications
  • CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.
