A Day in the Life

• Ensure Labour target rates are set and managed
• Communicate with the project team on a daily basis
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal teams, external suppliers and customers
• Identify potential conflicts and negotiate best solutions
• Main point of contact for assigned scope of work
• Take the lead on project kickoffs, hand offs and autopsy meetings with the project team
• Work with Safety, Site Supervisor and Foreman to ensure all Safety measures are in place
• Pre-plan the execution of projects and develop schedule with project team
• Develop, track and negotiate change orders
• Responsible for time, cost and overall project performance

What We Are Seeking

• Min. 3+ years’ experience within a Project Manager Role in a commercial construction industry, particularly in curtain wall construction
• Education in a civil engineering / building science program or a related educational field
• Knowledge of the curtain wall/glazing industry is considered an asset
• Proficiency in MS office package, including MS Project
• Strong blueprint reading skills
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem solving and decision making abilities
• Strong negotiation skills
• Ability to multi task and work in a team environment
