The Regulatory Risk Sr Officer will support the development and execution of a robust governance framework across Wealth’s global organization. This role will ensure that our governance framework is compliant with Citi Governance Policy with appropriate coverage, structure, and authority documented for each Committee, sub committee, and business forum. This role will report to Regulatory Risk Senior Group Manager over Wealth’s Governance framework and work closely with our risk management, control, and compliance organization to ensure the appropriate escalation and review of governance topics.
This role will also ensure that appropriate Policies, Standards, and Procedures are documented for the Wealth MCA, ERM and Governance activities.
Responsibilities:
- Support our global Wealth governance framework to drive compliance with regulatory and internal governance requirements for monitoring, escalating and decisioning business risks
- Coordinate the agenda, meeting minutes, and follow-up topics for Wealth Committee, sub-committee, and business forums
- Organize the documentation of standardized governance charters, meeting materials, meeting agenda, and meeting minute templates across Wealth’s Committee, sub-committee, and business forums
- Drive interconnectivity of Wealth’s risk management framework through policies, standards, and procedures aligned with Wealth MCA, ERM, and Governance activities.
- Proactive engagement with control functions to ensure understanding of the Wealth governance program
- Focus on continuous control improvements across all areas to ensure continued improvement of the control framework in an efficient, cost effective, streamlined, and value-add manner.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of Financial Services and analytical / control work experience
- Strong understanding of relevant business processes and data segments including the ability to solve for a root cause rather than symptoms
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, highly adaptive, and able to work well under high stress
- Ability to set priorities and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast paced, highly matrix, dynamic environment
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree; experience in compliance, legal or other control-related function in the financial services firm, regulatory organization, or legal/consulting firm, or a combination thereof
