Bullish, the digital asset exchange trading on NYSE as BLSH, has committed $100 million in financing to USD.AI to support GPU-backed loans. This follows Bullish's $4 million equity investment in USD.AI announced in September 2025. USD.AI structures loans as non-recourse, secured by graphics processing units through special purpose vehicles. Loan-to-value ratios are capped at 80%, with fixed interest rates between 7% and 15%. The protocol has deployed over $100 million in GPU-backed loans as of September 2025, with a pipeline exceeding $1.2 billion by mid-2026. The platform operates using tokenised architecture with USDai, a synthetic dollar backed by US Treasuries, and sUSDai, which offers yields around 7.65% from loan interest and Treasury returns. Recent facilities include $26.8 million for Crucible Capital and $98.1 million for Duos Edge AI.
Bullish advances in AI financing: A deep dive into USD.AI, Nano Labs, and Klarna. Published By: Antonio Robles Robles.AI Build AI That Earns Trust. AI Assistant: Felipe Mesh Building open intelligence for a new era. August 28, 2026 at 04:00 PM PDT Blockchain Technology AI Infrastructure Crypto Investments Table of contents. Bullish and USD.AI: A $100 million stablecoin venture. Cryptocurrency exchange Bullish, listed on NYSE as $BLSH, recently made headlines by announcing a $100 million funding initiative directed towards USD.AI, a crypto platform focusing on AI infrastructure. This substantial investment aims to finance the graphics processing units (GPUs) essential for driving artificial intelligence advancements. The funding, delivered through stablecoins, underscores Bullish's commitment to integrating traditional assets with blockchain technology by enabling USD.AI to provide loans secured by GPUs. Moreover, Bullish plans to list USD.AI's sUSDai token across multiple trading pairs, promoting trading through a market-making program. This initiative represents a growing trend in recognizing compute power as a credit market, with David Choi, CEO of Permian Labs (the entity behind USD.AI), stating, "Bullish is the right partner to scale this rapidly growing asset class onchain and broaden institutional participation." The innovative approach aims to bring traditional lending and asset markets onto the blockchain, aligning with Bullish's broader strategy to expand into the tokenized stock realm. With more than $225 million of crypto assets already locked in the protocol, USD.AI is poised to reshape how AI infrastructure is financed. The implications of this venture are profound for the cryptocurrency and AI sectors. By providing a stablecoin-backed liquidity facility, Bullish targets a sector that has quickly grown to rival traditional debt markets like auto loans and home equity lines of credit. This move not only strengthens Bullish's position as a leading digital asset platform but also sets a precedent for future crypto-backed loans in the AI sector. The partnership could potentially catalyze further institutional involvement, thereby accelerating the adoption of on-chain financial solutions. From my perspective, Bullish's investment in USD.AI highlights a paradigm shift where blockchain technology becomes an enabler rather than just a disruptor. The fusion of AI and cryptocurrency is slowly changing the landscape, proving that decentralized finance can underpin even the most capital-intensive industries. It's a testament to how traditional financial models can be reimagined in a decentralized future. Nano Labs' strategic shift towards AI and Web3. Nano Labs, traded on NASDAQ as NA, reported a challenging first half of 2026 with a notable net loss attributed to declining sales of its iPollo V Series products and the depreciating value of its cryptocurrency holdings. Despite these setbacks, Nano Labs' Chairman and CEO Jianping Kong emphasized the company's focus on expanding into artificial intelligence and Web3 ecosystems. This strategic move is evidenced by the launch of the iPollo ClawPC A1 Mini and the ongoing development of the OpenClaw Ecosystem, which integrates smart devices, operating systems, and hardware. The technical backbone of this ecosystem involves high throughput computing and high-performance computing chips, areas where Nano Labs has demonstrated significant expertise. The company also provides distributed computing and storage solutions, smart network interface cards, and vision computing chips. By capitalizing on its experience in blockchain infrastructure, hardware development, and ecosystem management, Nano Labs aims to position itself at the intersection of AI and Web3, sectors poised for exponential growth. For the industry, this strategic pivot by Nano Labs signals a broader trend where companies are increasingly converging AI with blockchain technology. As digital asset markets and blockchain infrastructure evolve, the potential for integrating these technologies into everyday applications becomes more tangible. However, the financial challenges faced by Nano Labs, including a RMB316.7 million net loss, highlight the inherent risks associated with such transitions. The company's commitment to treating digital assets as a strategic component of its capital allocation framework reflects a nuanced understanding of navigating volatile markets. Reflecting on Nano Labs' journey, it's evident that the convergence of AI and Web3 represents an exciting frontier. The potential for creating decentralized applications that leverage both AI and blockchain is immense, offering new avenues for innovation. Yet, the path is fraught with challenges, as evidenced by Nano Labs' financial performance. Success will depend on the company's ability to balance innovation with financial prudence, ensuring that it can sustain its vision for the future. Klarna's market dynamics amidst fintech consolidation. In the ever-evolving fintech landscape, Klarna's recent market movements reflect the broader shifts within the buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) sector. Following the collapse of a $50 billion potential takeover of PayPal by Stripe and Advent International, Klarna's stock surged by 6% to $14.86. This reaction underscores the competitive dynamics at play, as challengers like Klarna capitalize on the absence of a new public competitor in the checkout stack following the failed consolidation. This situation is emblematic of the complex interplay between market forces and strategic positioning within the fintech industry. With Affirm Holdings reporting a 10% increase in stock value post its fiscal fourth-quarter earnings, the emphasis on profitability and strategic restructuring is evident. Klarna, however, moves without a verified company-specific catalyst, primarily benefiting from the relief following the collapse of a major merger scenario. As the fintech landscape continues to evolve, companies like Klarna and Affirm must navigate the delicate balance between expansion and maintaining their growth narratives. The current market environment presents both opportunities and challenges for BNPL companies. As Klarna prepares for its forthcoming earnings release, the pressure to sustain its growth trajectory amidst increasing competition is palpable. The fintech sector's resilience will be tested as companies adapt to market fluctuations and strategic shifts. The broader implications for the fintech sector include the potential for increased regulatory scrutiny and the need for innovative approaches to secure a competitive edge. In my view, the BNPL sector exemplifies the rapid pace of innovation and competition within fintech. Klarna and its peers are at the forefront of this transformation, leveraging technology to redefine consumer finance. However, as consolidation attempts falter and market conditions fluctuate, the path forward will require agility and strategic foresight. The ability to adapt to changing dynamics while remaining focused on core competencies will be crucial for sustained success. Where Robles.AI fits. Blueprint Finance announces strategic funding round to scale Concrete's institutional DeFi infrastructure. Chainwire | Publish date: 08/20/2026 (Last updated: August 20, 2026 12:06 AM) Polychain Capital leads the round, with participation from Bullish, Keyrock, BitGo, FalconX, G-20, Flowdesk, JPEG Trading, and Sentient Capital. NEW YORK, Aug. 20, 2026 /PRNewswire/ - Blueprint Finance, the core developer of Concrete, today announced the completion of a strategic funding round led by Polychain Capital, with participation from Bullish, Keyrock, BitGo, FalconX, G-20, Flowdesk, JPEG Trading, Sentient Capital, Andes, and 2Square. The strategic round brings together a group of investors spanning venture capital, institutional trading, custody, liquidity provision, and digital asset infrastructure. The financing will support Blueprint Finance as it continues to scale Concrete, its full-stack vault infrastructure that is designed to enable institutions, protocols, and asset managers to launch, manage, and allocate capital through sophisticated on-chain strategies. Concrete continues to design and build infrastructure for a new phase of decentralized finance - one in which vaults increasingly function as programmable on-chain capital allocators. Rather than requiring allocators to manage execution, accounting, risk controls, rebalancing, and integrations across fragmented protocols independently, Concrete provides the infrastructure to bring these functions together within a unified vault system. The company has also continued to expand its work with protocols, asset issuers, networks, and institutional allocators to build vaults that can support on-chain yield products and serve as core liquidity infrastructure. Beyond scaling its vault infrastructure, Blueprint Finance has continued to expand the Concrete ecosystem with new on-chain financial primitives, including AssetCX and concUSD. These products represent the next evolution of Concrete: moving to build new assets, markets, and financial products on top of its institutional-grade foundation. "DeFi is moving beyond the era where capital allocation was defined by chasing the highest advertised yield," said Nic Roberts-Huntley, CEO and co-founder of Blueprint Finance. "The next phase is about infrastructure: giving professional allocators the controls, transparency, automation, and risk management they expect while preserving everything that makes on-chain markets powerful. This strategic round brings together firms that understand those markets from every angle, and we're excited to have them alongside us as we scale Concrete into the infrastructure layer for on-chain asset management." The round reflects growing institutional interest in vault infrastructure as digital asset markets mature. Institutional allocators increasingly require more than access to on-chain yield: they need auditable accounting, defined operational permissions, scalable execution, transparent risk controls, and infrastructure capable of operating through rapidly changing market conditions. "Who participated in this round is as important to us as the capital itself," added Roberts-Huntley. "These are firms that operate at the center of digital asset markets. Bringing that expertise into the Concrete ecosystem gives us strategic partners across liquidity, execution, custody, and distribution as we build infrastructure designed for the next generation of on-chain capital." About Blueprint Finance Blueprint Finance builds infrastructure for institutional on-chain finance and is the core developer of Concrete. Concrete is a full-stack vault infrastructure platform designed to power the next generation of on-chain asset management. Its modular architecture enables institutions, protocols, asset issuers, and allocators to build and operate vaults with automated execution, accounting, risk controls, and quantitative strategy tooling. By combining DeFi-native composability with institutional-grade operational infrastructure, Concrete is building the foundation for scalable, transparent, and programmable capital markets on-chain.
