Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree required (healthcare, behavioral health, public health, or related field)
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in behavioral health quality, performance improvement, or compliance
  • Strong understanding of behavioral health operations, clinical standards, and regulatory frameworks
  • Proficiency with NIMRS (NYS Incident Management and Reporting System) and WISR (Workplace Incident and Safety Reporting) required
  • Strong computer skills including Excel, PowerPoint, and EMR/chart audit tools
Responsibilities
  • Coordinate quality improvement and performance monitoring activities across behavioral health services, including inpatient, outpatient, and crisis programs
  • Support the development and implementation of quality dashboards, metrics, and reports for internal leadership and external agencies
  • Conduct and document clinical chart audits, reviews, and trend analyses to support compliance and quality goals
  • Monitor adherence to OMH, OASAS, and other regulatory requirements, including preparation for site visits and audits
  • Manage incident reporting processes, including interviews, chart review, documentation, tracking, follow-up, and submission through appropriate systems
  • Utilize NIMRS and WISR platforms for timely reporting and review of incidents and sentinel events
  • Participate in Root Cause Analyses (RCA) and facilitate post-incident reviews and corrective action planning
  • Collaborate with clinical leadership and staff on the development and implementation of quality improvement initiatives
  • Assist in organizing and facilitating quality management oversight committee meetings
  • Provide education and support to staff on quality-related protocols, regulatory standards, and documentation requirements
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of behavioral health quality trends, regulatory changes, and compliance standards
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Experience with incident management, RCA processes, and regulatory reporting preferred
  • NYS clinical licensure (e.g., RN, LMSW, LMHC) preferred
