Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI Clearance
  • Demonstrated experience performing technical communications vulnerability assessments across: computer networks, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), radio and wireless communications, and other critical communication systems
  • Strong understanding of DoD cybersecurity policies, vulnerability identification, and risk mitigation strategies
  • Ability to produce detailed technical reports and communicate findings effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Responsibilities
  • Vulnerability Assessments: Perform in-depth technical assessments of communication networks, including computer systems, Industrial Control Systems (ICS), radio, and wireless communications, to identify and mitigate potential vulnerabilities
  • Risk Analysis: Evaluate findings and provide technical recommendations to improve the resilience and security of mission-critical communications systems
  • Mission Assurance Support: Ensure assessments align with DoDI 3020.45, AFPD 10-24, and AFI 10-2402, supporting the USAF’s Mission Assurance Construct and broader DoD objectives
  • Technical Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports and briefings that clearly articulate vulnerabilities, risks, and recommended mitigation strategies to USAF leadership and DoD stakeholders
  • Collaboration: Work closely with mission assurance teams, cybersecurity experts, and infrastructure personnel to integrate assessment findings into the Mission Assurance Assessment (MAA) process
  • Operational Support: Support USAF and DoD agencies in identifying and managing communication-related risks across various installations and facilities
